Been asked to create a blog for 20% of our final grade, for E-business, I originally thought an easy 20%. I can’t say I feel the same now.
I have been aware of blog’s for a long time but my involvement with blogs stops at reading them. Writing a blog is something that has never interests me. The majority of blogs are created by People who wish to complain about issue’s or services but I am a great believer in actions speak louder than words so creating a blog is not an outlet I would use to vent my frustrations.
However I do understand that this is not the sole purpose of blogs, I appreciate that blogging is a great way for certain people to relay expert information about topics to people who have a great interest in the subject been discussed. It is also a great way to reach a wide range of people who through traditional methods would never have such easy access to the information. It is also available to anybody; all someone needs is internet access. Blogging is a cost effective method of communication and is something businesses should consider as a means communicating with customers with little or no cost.
However I do believe my blogging days will come to an end when this course is complete. I must admit I find it more than a chore than a means of communication. I do recognise its value in today’s society; but blogging is just not for me.
